A World War 1 Life.

This week for writing we learnt about Anzac day and what life was like in World War 1. After we researched Enough information we could make either a slide or a doc about what WW1 life was like at that time or about Anzac day.

Here is a link to my slide.

  1. Hi Millie
What an amazing presentation on what life was like for children in the world wars. Isn't it incredible the role children played at such a young age? I particularly liked the fact that the boys were too talkative so they had to get the Girl Guides to carry out that role! I guess children would have had to take on a lot of responsibility at a very young age. Will your family be doing anything this Saturday to commemorate the war?

  2. Hi Mille
What a professional presentation you have created. Gosh, wouldn't it have been so hard and difficult for all the children during WW1 and the sad thing is, so many children are living in war torn countries at this very minute. It sure makes you realise just how lucky we are to live in New Zealand and at this time. I don't think I would be any good knitting socks and scarfs for soldiers! Can you knit? I wish it was something that I was better at.

  3. Thanks for a wonderful blog post here Millie. It's great to think about what it was like for kids of war time....it makes me feel very sad. Did your family do anything to commemorate Anzac Day this year in lockdown?
